The client is a rare-earth materials processing company that owns and operates the only operating rare earth mine and processing facility in the United States. They produce refined rare earth compounds, metals, and concentrates that power critical functions across a wide range of applications.
The facility needed a backup power solution, as it is critical that they maintain power for their type of business. The client wanted to minimize their environmental impact, in addition to increasing their reliability and did not want to use diesel. The company wanted a cleaner solution with a compact footprint to fit in their space-constrained generator yard.

Enchanted Rock offered this client a medium voltage system under the iROC structure for $121/kW all-in (installed, monitored, and supported), versus $700/kW or higher for a comparable Tier 2 diesel system, saving millions of dollars.
Enchanted Rock also offered a more reliable and efficient medium voltage design for the facility.
Enchanted Rock’s state-of-the-art local emissions levels are 100x cleaner than Tier 2 diesel systems.
Enchanted Rock won the deal by being responsive, clear and convincing in presenting value proposition to the company’s leadership.
