ERock CEO John Carrington joined CNBC to discuss the company’s recent agreement with Anthropic. Under the agreement, ERock will provide approximately 470 MW of onsite generation capacity to support the AI company’s growing infrastructure needs. The agreement includes RockBlock generators that will provide bridge power, enabling critical operations to come online before permanent utility infrastructure is available.

Carrington also discussed ERock’s business model and the growing need for rapidly deployable, utility-grade power as data center developers navigate extended grid interconnection timelines. He highlighted ERock’s 366 MW generation project with El Paso Electric supporting Meta’s data center campus as another example of onsite generation helping meet near-term power requirements while permanent utility infrastructure is developed.
