Global data center power demand is expected to surge 165% by 2030, driven largely by AI’s increasing computational needs. This growth will require larger hyperscale facilities and significantly more electricity, further pressuring strained power grids. Traditional infrastructure cannot keep pace, and data centers are often criticized for exacerbating grid instability. Flexible capacity, especially firm, dispatchable onsite generation, offers a solution by turning data centers into active grid partners. By shifting load to onsite power during grid stress events, data centers can maintain uninterrupted operations while reducing grid strain and supporting community resilience.

This presentation will discuss new architecture that delivers scalable, redundant onsite generation capable of providing hundreds of megawatts with 99.999% reliability. Its multi-generator, gas-powered design is denser and more flexible than traditional diesel systems, avoids refueling challenges, and accelerates speed-to-power without long turbine waiting times. This approach transforms backup power into a dynamic, grid-supportive asset, an essential strategy for an AI-driven, energy-constrained future.
